Makuyu thank you

Peter Nikolakopoulos, General Manager of Coffex Coffee, presenting the donation of $7,500 to Bernadette Willis of World Vision & Customers

World Vision thanks Coffex Coffee and its customers for their Christmas contribution to the Makuyu Food Security Project in Kenya World Vision works with many households headed by children in the Makuyu District who have been orphaned by the HIV/AIDS epidemic sweeping the nation. This contribution will help them to produce sufficient food to eat and also provide extra to sell, in order to earn an income for their household.

Helping to improve food security in the region helps to give these children the best Christmas gift possible, that of a healthier future!

This contribution will help World Vision’s work with 16,220 households in Kenya’s Makuyu District, many of whom are unable to provide enough food for their families for a significant portion of the year. This project is also supported by the Australian Government, which provides a 3:1 match, meaning that Coffex Coffee’s gift helps World Vision to access over $30,000 in total funding.
