The Factory
Over the last half-century Coffex has expanded beyond the capacity of the original factory in Coburg and in 2001 relocated to a new facility on Dawson St. in Brunswick, which was officially opened by the Victorian Premier Steve Bracks. The new facility incorporates the Head Office, service centre, equipment showroom, shop and newly installed training centre at the front of the building.
The rear of the facility houses the warehouse and the roasting/packaging plant which utilises both the Brambati and Probat hot air convection roasting process; this is one of the largest coffee roasting facilities in the Southern Hemisphere. This equipment, which was installed in 2001, allows the Factory manager to control every aspect of the roasting process; ensuring that every batch is of the same high quality.
