The History of Coffex

Coffex was founded in the late 1950s, in response to the shortage of quality espresso coffee beans in Melbourne at that time.  The first Coffex beans were roasted in the first Coffex shop in Coburg, Victoria, using equipment which had to be especially imported from Europe. From these humble beginnings Coffex has grown to become one of Australia’s largest suppliers of premium ground coffee and beans.

Today, thousands of cafes, restaurants and hotels trust Coffex to deliver their consistently delicious blends, so that coffee lovers across Australia and beyond can enjoy the perfect espresso. As Coffex’s reputation for quality spread, the public demanded the same great taste in their homes as at their local Coffex café; Coffex was happy to oblige and today Coffex is sold at leading retailers all around the Asia-Pacific region.

As a natural addition, Coffex has become the regional distributor for the world famous
La Cimbali range of coffee machines and associated appliances for commercial and domestic use. To ensure that these machines are used to produce the perfect cup, Coffex provides  training facilities  in each state, where cafe staff can become baristas.

Today, senior management continues to run Coffex Coffee, with tradition and heritage hand in hand with the latest technology and a commitment to ensure consistent quality to its customers worldwide.
