Training: Cocktail Recipes
Irish coffee (serves one)
Ingredients:
1 X 30ml hot espresso coffee
2 tablespoons of cream
2 teaspoons of brown sugar
4 tablespoons of Irish whisky
Method: Warm a large glass with cream, pour the coffee into it, and then add the sugar and whisky. Slowly add the cream by pouring it onto the back of a spoon.
Brandy cocktail
Ingredients:
1/3 Brandy
1/3 cream
1/3 espresso coffee
Method: Mix the ingredients in a shaker with crushed ice and serve in a cocktail glass. NB: The portions may be varied according to taste.
Friendship cup (serves two)
Ingredients:
2 X 30ml espresso coffees
2 glasses of grappa
2 glasses of rum
lemon and orange peel
Method:Pour all the ingredients into one large glass; enjoy!
Yuletide warmer (serves four)
Ingredients:
4 X 30ml espresso coffees
4 teaspoons sugar
1 egg yolk
1 glass Scotch whisky
Method: Beat the egg yolk with the sugar until the mixture is well blended. Slowly add the coffee, mixing well. Very slowly add the coffee being careful not to cook the egg yolk. Serve in pre-warmed cups.
Double Coffee Cream
Ingredients:
1/3 espresso coffee
1/3 Tia Maria
1/3 Cream
Method: Mix in a shaker with crushed ice and serve in a cocktail glass.
