  • 1.Do we roast our coffees locally?
Yes! We roast all our coffees in Brunswick, Victoria.
  •  2. Do different brew methods affect the taste of coffee?
Yes, different brew methods will deliver a different cup profile. There are many brew methods which you can use to brew your coffee; Knowing the best brew methods for the type of coffee you are drinking will definitely enhance the coffee flavours in your cup. It is also worth noting that each brew method has its own optimum parameters such as grind setting, dose of coffee, extraction time and extraction yield.

  • 3. Does a different roast profile affect the experience of a coffee?
Yes it does! Coffee comes in a range of roast profiles from light, medium and dark. Lighter roasts are better suited to pour-over, filter and syphon extraction methods as the coffee is put under less pressure and therefore displays more delicate ‘tea-like’ flavours. Conversely, traditional dark roasted coffee is better suited to espresso machines and mocha pots where the coffee is put under considerable heat and steam pressure to extract a more concentrated syrupy coffee shot.
Coffee will always taste better if you choose a brewing method that matches the roast profile of the coffee. An espresso roast profile will taste amazing when the coffee is put through an espresso machine extraction. However, if you used the same coffee in a pour over, it will most likely taste very bitter and unpleasant as the roast profile was not meant for a pour over extraction.
  • 4. Do we ship internationally?
Sorry, we do not currently ship internationally from our Brunswick office. However, Coffex have offices in New Zealand and Malaysia that ship locally to surrounding regions.
  • 5. What happens if an error occurs?
Coffex attempts to be as accurate as possible with all orders; However, Coffex do not warrant that all product descriptions, photographs, pricing or other information on the Site is accurate, complete, current, or error-free.  In addition, all weights and size dimensions are approximate.  If a product offered by Coffex is not as described or pictured, your sole remedy is to return it in an unused condition for a refund.  In the event of an error, whether on the Site, in an order confirmation, in processing an order, in delivering a product or otherwise, Coffex reserve the right to correct such error and revise your order accordingly, or to cancel the order and refund any amount charged. Your sole remedy in the event of an error is to cancel your order and obtain a refund.
  • 6. Shipping
Free Shipping for Australian customers for orders over $75 (AUD).
Standard shipping rates are:
$10 AUD for Australian nationwide shipping.
Coffex endeavours to ship all orders for in-stock items within three (3) business day(s).  Our standard business hours are 8.30AM – 5PM(Monday – Friday). Standard shipping of products purchased on the Site is via Australia Post which is not affiliated with, or controlled by, Coffex Coffee Pty. Ltd., and you should allow five (5) to ten (10) business days for standard delivery once an order has been shipped. All shipping charges are your responsibility, unless waived by Coffex Coffee.  Shipping charges will be included on your invoice and can be viewed prior to finalizing your order.  The shipping charge shown during the checkout process is subject to verification.  Shipping charges are subject to change without notice.  Title to products purchased on the Site, as well as the risk of loss for such products, passes to you when Coffex Coffee delivers these items to the carrier for shipment, and Coffex are not responsible for any shipping delays or problems once the product has been shipped.
Shipping service offered is Australia Post Regular Mail and no tracking will be provided.
  • 7. Is Credit Card payment safe?
Coffex takes the safety of our customers’ personal information very seriously. We use a wide array of electronic and physical security measures and devices to protect your personal data and credit card information from unauthorized access. Furthermore, Coffex partner with the leading e-commerce merchants to ensure that we are employing the most up-to-date technology to ensure all transactions are as secure as possible.
Coffex.com.au does not store any Credit Card numbers or other sensitive data on our servers. All transactions processed on our website (www.coffex.com.au) online ordering system are securely billed through eWay gateway and processor.
  • 8. Transaction Currency and Pricing
All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of any applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST). 
New Zealand Dollar (NZD) pricing when NZD option is selected on the websites top bar, calculates an estimate based of www.xe.com, which is an online currency converter. Shoppify, the stores e-commerce operator, updates these pricing twice (2) a day.
All transaction on the store is charged at ONLY Australian Dollars (AUD). 
Bank charges for International Purchases may apply to New Zealand (NZ) citizens. Please consult your bank on these charges. Coffex does not charge the International Purchase fees.
